Historic Opening of the Irish Honorary Consulate in Dhaka: A Milestone for the Bangladeshi-Irish Diaspora

On March 17, 2024, St. Patrick’s Day, a historic moment unfolded for the Irish consulate office in Bangladesh as the Irish Honorary Consulate was officially opened in Dhaka. The Bangladeshi Community of Dublin (BCD) was proud to represent the Bangladeshi-Irish diaspora during this significant milestone. BCD officials, including President Md. Mostofa, Advisor Masud Sikder, Public Relations and Publications Secretary Ronty Chowdhury, and community leader Syed Mostafizur Rahman, were in attendance to celebrate this momentous event alongside dignitaries from over 30 countries, including diplomats and high-ranking officials.
